Testimonials

Mr. Sorce is one of the finest martial artists that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Having owned a Taekwondo school for over 30 years and having been involved in multiple organizations that restricted my own knowledge and growth, I consider myself fortunate to have found someone as knowledgeable as him.

His Eskrima teaching style is nothing short of amazing. His classes are fun, exciting, rewarding, and educational. The fact that he loves what he is doing is evident in every class. The patience he demonstrates with each of the skills that he teaches is reflected in the overall performance of the students under his tutelage. His Inayan Eskrima skills are only matched by his skills in Danzan-Ryu jujitsu and Taekwondo.

It is rare to find an individual as talented and as well versed in the martial arts as Mr. Sorce. One would have to look far and wide to find such an individual that can stand as tall and proud. He is truly dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in each an every individual he calls student. My students in Flower Mound, TX are proud to call him guru and I am proud to call him friend.

“Training with Pete Sorce in Eskrima has been spectacular. I had a feeling that going into this I would certainly enjoy the experience of a new martial art but I really didn’t know how extensive it would be. The structure of the program presents the material in a focused and efficient manner that packs in a ton of content yet does not leave you overwhelmed. I remember starting out many years ago in Tae Kwon Do and feeling a sense of magic that went along with all of the training and new material but all the feeling of magic seemed to slowly fade away. The Inayan system of Eskrima as taught by Pete Sorce brings the magic back of being a beginning student and having a wealth of knowledge ahead of you. After training for just a short period of time I started to feel as though I was becoming well versed in this style of martial arts.

The teaching style of Pete Sorce is great, I often refer to him as being an encyclopedia of martial arts knowledge. Not only are his lessons clear and concise, but they are organized to the point where he gives you just the right amount of time to process a new technique or drill before moving right on to the next one. Pete has mastered his teaching style to such an extent that he will effectively distract your brain away from a frustration only to come right back to the frustrating task at a different and completely effective angle. Even difficult concepts seem fairly easy to grasp during the lessons.

One thing that took me most by surprise is Sorce’s attitude throughout the process. Not only does he seem to genuinely enjoy the instructional sessions we’ve had but he appears to have infinite patience for his students. There were a couple of techniques and drills that I had some significant trouble with and as I struggled he seemed to calmly move from one teaching style to the next until something would click and I’d start to figure it out. Throughout the process Pete made it fun and easy going all while staying on track and getting a lot accomplished. Overall, I was supremely impressed and I wish I had found Sorce Martial Arts a long time ago.”
